Zachary McIntyre has been in love with the horn since he first heard it in seventh grade at the age of twelve. A New Jersey native, he graduated from the Bard College Conservatory with a double major in Music Performance and Computer Science in 2021, where he studied with Julia Pilant, Barbara Jostlein and Jeff Lang. He recently received his Masters of Music from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Michelle Baker. He is currently freelancing and teaching private lessons in New York City.
Zach has performed all over New York since moving here in 2021. He has played with the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and has performed at Dizzy’s Club and Joe’s Pub. Since 2022, he has taught in Massachusetts at the Berkshire Summer Music festival. Zach was recently featured in Thomas Hodges’ and Ryan James Monroe’s 2023 album, Time Travelers. He also appears on their latest singles, “Golden Hour” and “For You,” available on Spotify.
